Bologna demand £15m-plus for Liverpool and Tottenham target

  • Liverpool and Tottenham will have to fork out £15.9million to land Bologna playmaker Gaston Ramirez, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Ramirez, who impressed for Uruguay during their three matches at the Olympic Games, is regarded as one of the hottest young talents in Italy after a superb season in Serie A.
Liverpool and Tottenham have both been heavily linked with a move for Ramirez, with some reports last week suggesting that the Merseyside club had already tabled a £12.5m offer for the 21-year-old.
However, a bid of that value looks set to fail, with Bologna insisting on securing a fee of £15.9m as they are required to pay 30% of any transfer fee to the Uruguayan’s former club Peñarol.
And Liverpool and Tottenham could be joined in the pursuit of Ramirez by Inter Milan, who are tipped to turn their attentions to Ramirez if they fail to secure the signature of Manchester United target Lucas Moura.
